Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is a 2023 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team Guardians of the Galaxy. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is intended to be the sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), and the 32nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is written and directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, Will Poulter, Chukwudi Iwuji, Elizabeth Debicki, Maria Bakalova, and Sylvester Stallone. In Vol. 3, the Guardians are forced to confront their pasts as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill's true parentage.

Filming began in November 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia, and wrapped in May 2022. Vol. 3 is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 5, 2023.

The film's ensemble cast includes Chris Pratt as Peter Quill / Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Sean Gunn as Kraglin Obfonteri, Will Poulter as Adam Warlock, Chukwudi Iwuji as High Evolutionary, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, Maria Bakalova as Cosmo the Space Dog, and Sylvester Stallone as Stakar Ogord / Starhawk.

Gunn has said that Vol. 3 will be the "final chapter" of the Guardians of the Galaxy story, and that the film will be a "love letter" to the fans. He has also said that the film will be "darker" and "more emotional" than the previous two films.

Vol. 3 is one of the most anticipated films of 2023, and is expected to be a critical and commercial success.
